Why does the GIS/ Mapping office not combine my property on the tax maps since I have a plat on Burke County record stating to combine?

A legal document of title also known as muniment/affidavit has to be recorded in the Burke County Register of Deeds office which describes to legally combine the properties. Plats do not have the power to legally combine without a Deed, Affidavit or other muniment being recorded. For more information, contact the Geographic Information System department.
