Burke County is working hard to bring you the future Jonas Ridge Convenience Site and Cranberry Bog Nature Park. We reviewed all the comments and the overwhelming favorite was the Expanded Concept: Option B.
This larger convenience site will offer improved access, easier unloading, and expanded options for trash and recycling. It will also include a park with walking trails, interpretive exhibits, and other amenities.
The County is acquiring the land necessary to make this vision a reality. Once acquired, we will develop construction plans and a timeline for completion. In the interim, we will continue to post updates at the convenience site in the Jonas Ridge Community and on the homepage of the County website www.burkenc.org.
