Burke County Animal Advisory Board
Applications are being accepted for two (2) seats (a breeder and a large animal owner) on the Burke County Animal Advisory Board (AAB). The AAB meets at 6 p.m. on the third (3rd) Wednesday of the month in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, 110 N. Green Street in Morganton. The primary purpose of the 8-member advisory board is to advocate for the humane treatment of companion animals. In addition to providing support to the Animal Services Dept., the AAB also advises the County Commissioners on best practices for improvements to Chapter 6, Animals, of the Burke County Code of Ordinances.
