NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Burke Co. Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on May 18, 2021 in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, Burke Co. Services Building located at 110 N. Green St. in Morganton, NC (Door E). At the meeting they will accept public comments on the Commissioners’ consideration of granting exceptions to certain performance requirements / thresholds relative to a DIG (Development Incentive Grant for the established grant period) with Alpine Mill, LLC for the redevelopment of an abandoned manufacturing plant located at 109 Fleming Drive in Morganton.
Questions about the proposed exceptions should be directed to the Burke County Manager at 828-764-9350. In accordance with ADA regulations, persons in need of an accommodation to participate in the meeting should notify the County Manager’s office by calling 828-764-9350 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. To slow the spread of COVID-19, limited socially distanced seating is available in the meeting room and attendees are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings.
