Public Hearing Notice
For Closeout of the
Community Development Block Grant
Burke County is seeking public comments on the closeout of the 2016 Community Development Block Grant Infrastructure Project, Grant # 16-I-2914, Rhoney Road and HWY 18 South Water Project. The project provided 31,030 LF of new water lines, benefitting 64.7% low- and moderate-income individuals. The total cost for the CDBG water improvement project was approximately $2,000,000. The Burke County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in the Burke Co. Services Building, Commissioners’ Meeting Room, 110 N. Green Street in Morganton, NC, to obtain citizen input regarding the project closeout. Citizens will be given the opportunity to provide oral and written comments on the project at the public hearing. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend. For safety, attendees are encouraged to wear face coverings.
