The Duke Energy Foundation will be announcing two special programs: the Hometown Revitalization Grant Program and the Social Justice and Racial Equity Grant Program this spring. Please see the information below for more information and visit duke-energy.com/foundation later in the spring for additional details.

Hometown Revitalization Grant Program

The pandemic has challenged many small businesses across Duke Energy’s service territory as they pivot to accommodate the changing environment. In order to meaningfully address our state’s community needs, the Duke Energy Foundation is organizing a $500,000 grant program to provide Storefront Revitalization Grants in 20 communities across the state. Each community will be awarded $25,000 via a partnership with a local 501c3 nonprofit. More information will be available on April 1 at duke-energy.com/foundation

Social Justice and Racial Equity Grant Program

This is the second year of our dedicated social justice and racial equity grant cycle. The Duke Energy Foundation will award $1 million in $25,000 grants for general operating funds to North Carolina nonprofits focused on advancing social justice and racial equity. Grants will empower nonprofits that are led by, and provide services to, communities of color. More information will be available June 1 at duke-energy.com/foundation.
