Burke County’s Response to COVID-19

The numbers continue to stay high because of the holiday gatherings and travel.
As of January 12, 2021, the Burke County Vaccination team has made changes to registering for the COVID-19 vaccination. If you are 75+ and were notified by email or phone call that you were added to a registration list, then you will be contacted to schedule an appointment. Otherwise, you need to call 580-6147 to schedule an appointment.
If you fall into the other priority groups and you have received an email or phone call and were told that you were added to a list for your priority group, then you will be contacted to set up an appointment when your group is ready to be vaccinated. Otherwise, you will need to call 580-6147 to schedule an appointment.
As of January 12, 2021, anyone interested in registering for a COVID-19 vaccine will need to call 580-6147 to schedule an appointment.
There is no need to call the Health Department because Blue Ridge Healthcare System will be scheduling the appointments for the community when vaccine is available.
Staff for these Community clinics will be from Blue Ridge Healthcare System, Burke County Health Department, and community volunteers.
