A copy of the recommended budget was filed in the office of the Clerk to the Board on that same day and is available for public inspection at the Burke County Governmental Offices as well as the Burke County Public Library during regular business hours.  The 2018 recommended budget is also posted on the County's website, <a href="http://www.burkenc.org/"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">www.burkenc.org</span></a>. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">Budget workshop meetings will be held in the Commissioners' Meeting Room, Burke County Services Building, 110 N. Green Street, Morganton, NC, on May 30<sup>th</sup> at 3 p.m.; June 6<sup>th</sup> at 4 p.m. (Note:  Board's 3 p.m. pre-agenda may last longer than an hour.), June 8<sup>th</sup> at 3 p.m.; and June 13<sup>th</sup> at 3 p.m., if needed.</p>
Water Project - RFQ for Engineering Serviceshttps://intranet.burkenc.org/WebsiteContent/Lists/Special Notice/DispForm.aspx?ID=152Water Project - RFQ for Engineering Services<p>​Burke County has received approval of a CDBG grant:  The project includes water line installation to two sub-areas to resolve failing wells.  The NC Hwy 18 S. and Rhoney Road Water Project involves the construction of approx. 32,130 lf of 8" water line and household connections to 30 LMI households.  CDBG funds will finance 100% of the total project.
